A tribute to one of the great Renaissance men, the DaVinci MC v2 moving coil was the result of our developmental work on our version 2 series as we explored modern material science. Super neodymium was one special material we used in the generator, creating a ring of 8 magnets with dual 24-karat pure gold air-core coils inside.
For the DaVinci v2.1 body, an aluminum-magnesium alloy with ceramic surface layer was chosen for its lightness, rigidity, and self-damping characteristics. Realizing our twelve-finger design, each finger with a different radius, with this advanced material, provides enhanced low level resolution via its resonance control. The generator of the DaVinci v2.1 MC is mechanically, magnetically and electrically symmetrical, and it uses our clearaudio Prime Line stylus with solid boron rod cantilever.
